I don’t know about the rest of you, but I have torn feelings about summer ending and fall quickly approaching.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the chilly mornings, the beautiful colors, and I always enjoy an evening curled up by the fireplace with my hubby or a good book. On the other hand, I’m definitely going to miss all the freedom and fun that summer brings with it.
One thing I’m really excited for is cooking warm, hearty fall meals again! You know the kind I’m talking about, too. Nobody wants to eat chili or soup on a hot summers day!
I’m so excited about it that I’ve been looking into recipes. Some classic soups we all know and love. Others that I’d never heard of before I began my hunt, but decided I need to branch out and give them a try!
So, without further ado, I give you the 25 soup recipes that are on my “Must Try” list this fall:
I had never tried broccoli cheese soup before I started working at Quizno’s when I was 17. Every fall I crave a bowl of this delicious soup, so this might just be the very first recipe I try!
It’s quite possible that I’ve never had minestrone soup of any kind. At all. Ever.
Sure, I’ve heard of it, but I’ve always been scared to try it. I’m thinking this year I need to just do it! What I really, really love about this recipe is that it’s made in a slow cooker!
I think this one definitely looks good! Another one of those soups I’ve never tried, but I’m totally game. I gave a different Mexican-ish soup a try last year and was pleasantly surprised!
This is sure to be a hit when I make it! Bean and bacon soup is Hubby’s all time favorite. I hate to admit it, but I’d never tried it prior to our marriage! I didn’t even know how much he liked it until one day at the grocery store.
I’m not going to lie, this one kind of scares me! I can’t say I’ve ever had cabbage in soup before, but who knows… maybe it’ll be as good as the comments lead me to believe.
I think this looks really good. The perfect comfort food! It’s another one that I’m really excited to try out this fall!
There ain’t nothin’ wrong with a good ol’ fashioned vegetable soup recipe. I’ve never made it before, but I’m definitely going to give it a try. I’m sure it’ll be a perfect mix of healthy & hearty rolled into one bowl.
Not only is it another Mexican-ish recipe, it can also involve a slow cooker! I’m sold!
I almost completely spaced finding a delish clam chowder recipe, which is odd considering I love… L.O.V.E. clam chowder! It’s easily one of my top 5 favorite soups! I’ve never made it before, but I’m certainly going to now!
I find this recipe intriguing. I’ve never heard of, let alone tried, a cauliflower soup. I like cauliflower, though, and I can’t complain about any of the ingredients in this recipe. I have a feeling this one will be interesting!
I’ve never been a big fan of soups like this in the past, so it’s kinda funny that this one had my mouth watering. Something about the beef… and how the soup is made. I just can’t stop imagining how good the meat probably tastes!
I’ll definitely be giving this recipe a try. I’ve never had French Onion soup (shocking, I know), but I love onions, so I’m really not sure why I haven’t had it yet!
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t terrified of this soup… I’m not a huge spicy foods fan and, well, I’m not big into avocado. I have no idea why I have an issue with avocados… I just do. Don’t worry, I’ve been trying to fix it all summer by regularly incorporating avocados into my meals.
Anywho, although I’m scared of the recipe, I also find it intriguing. Obviously the spice comes from the jalapeno, so I’ll probably just pull the seeds out before adding it. Just to cool things down a bit.
I don’t like tomato soup fan unless I’m eating it with a grilled cheese. Yes… when I eat tomato soup, my inner 5 year old comes out.
That being said, I’ve been told by multiple people that homemade tomato soup is MUCH better than the canned stuff you get at the store. I’m really wanting to try this! I have my fingers crossed that I could eat it without a grilled cheese sandwich on the side (or maybe I’ll just have to find a more grown up version of that, too).
By now you may or may not have noticed the two trends: CookingClassy.com and creamy soups!
Don’t worry, I didn’t notice it, either, until I went back through and reviewed all the awesome recipes I’d bookmarked! Apparently Cooking Classy is a great website and I have a slight obsession with soups of the creamy variety.
I could have told you that second part, though. I’ve never been keen on chicken noodle soup, while sick or healthy. But this creamy version has peeked my interest!
*sigh* They had me at “slow cooker”.
Although the combination seems odd, it sounds like it would be pretty tasty! Another one I must make when the chilly temperatures set in!
In case you didn’t know, I’m BIG into making stuff taste like a cheeseburger.
I’m really excited about this recipe! It may not be one I can make in a slow cooker, but it’s creamy and cheeseburger-y, so obviously it’ll be delicious!
Okay, here it is. My favorite soup of ALL TIME. Well, I don’t know about this recipe, but my favorite soup ever is cream of mushroom soup. I’ve never had a homemade version. Now that I’ve found a recipe, I must make it and determine whether it really is the best ever!
I have a feeling that Hubby will end up liking this recipe more that the other vegetable soup I mentioned. This one has meat in it, something we are generally supposed to have with dinner. He’ll be glad it’s mixed in with all the veggies!
Another scary one… I’m not sure how I feel about this soup recipe. At all. I just keep telling myself it’s okay to step outside your comfort zone!
Oh, lookie here! Another easy slow cooker soup recipe of the Mexican variety!
Ya know what that means? Yep… I’m sold!
I think the addition of spinach in this soup is a great idea and I’m really looking forward to trying it!
This looks like some creamy goodness! There are so many ingredients and seasonings, I don’t think there’s any possible way it can taste less than amazing.
I’ve been a big fan of this website for a while now. It’s right up my alley, and so is this recipe!
Ham and potato soup is an oldie, but a goodie. I remember I was always excited when my mom made it growing up! And she always made so much that we got to eat it again and again.
I think ham and potato soup is a meal you have to eat at least once every fall/winter!
I love white chili recipes! And, although this is a chili and not a soup, I feel like it’s really all the same thing, ya know? I’m sure this recipe won’t disappoint!
Have you tried any of these recipes before or others like them? Are there any recipes on my list that made yours, too? Lemme know!
