I’ve mentioned it I don’t know how many times already… I LOVE my slow cooker! It makes making dinner so much easier. And my house smells delicious every time I use it. Both very good, very awesome things! If you don’t own one, you definitely need to buy one! It’s worth it’s weight in gold!!

I recommend a programmable slow cooker like this one from Amazon.com. A programmable slow cooker isn’t a necessity, but it’s definitely a nice feature that I really wish my slow cooker had!
I know that fall only just began a couple weeks ago, but I’ve already started using my slow cooker at least once a week. The colder it gets, the more I’ll crave those warm, hearty dinners that my slow cooker makes so easy to make! I’ll definitely be using it more than once a week soon.
Here are 30 slow cooker dinner recipes that I can’t wait to try this winter:
I LOVE a good stew recipe, and it’s hard to go wrong with stew made in the slow cooker. This recipe calls for sweet potatoes, which is something I have never even considered trying in stew. Definitely going to give it a shot this winter, though!
Chicken is one of the most inexpensive meats we can buy, so it’s a staple in our diet. I’m always looking for new ways to cook it and this recipe has provided me with just that! Not only is it a new and exciting chicken recipe, something about stuffing just screams “comfort food” for me.
A fun twist on a delicious classic. Beef roasts are an all time favorite of mine, but I’ve never considered adding balsamic vinegar to it. Definitely a must try!
I don’t think I’ve ever met a person who didn’t enjoy Chicken Alfredo! This recipe is so simple, anyone could make it! I do enjoy the addition of veggies to my Alfredo dinners, so I’ll probably add some mushrooms and/or broccoli to the slow cooker when I give this recipe a go.
Although I’m a huge lover of cold subs, I’d be lying if I said I enjoy meatball subs (or most hot subs, for that matter). I’ve never really enjoyed them, but my husband loves them. I plan on setting my taste preferences aside for at least one evening this winter and making some homemade meatball subs for him. I’m sure he’ll appreciate it!
In our house, mushrooms are very well loved. Chicken, not so much… but we eat it all the time. I do believe this simple 3 ingredient recipe is going to be a big hit!
I haven’t had Mongolian Beef in years, so when I found this recipe, I was excited! I love the idea of making ethnic foods at home rather than ordering it at a restaurant, but I normally avoid actually doing it. I’m usually really intimidated by the recipe and I rarely have all the ingredients on hand.
Not the case with this recipe, though! I have all the ingredients for the sauce in my kitchen right now and this recipe couldn’t possibly look any easier! I’m excited to try it.
Prior to Hubby & I getting together, I wasn’t a big fan of Mexican food. Over the years his love for Hispanic dishes has somehow rubbed off on me. This burrito bowl recipe looks so yummy. I definitely need to make it.
Sloppy Joe’s AND cheeseburgers? At once? YES PLEASE! All I have to say about this recipe is that I’m absolutely in love with it!!
This is a recipe I’ve made on multiple occasions this year and all three of us love it! Yep, it’s even a hit with little Bee. I highly recommend you try it this winter!
Can you believe I’d never tried a Philly Cheesesteak until about 2 years ago? It’s true. The recipe I made was delicious, but it wasn’t nearly as easy as this one. The next time I make them, I’m using this recipe!
I have personally made this (more than once) and it’s really, REALLY good! There’s a reason it’s called “Crack Chicken”! I’m looking forward to making it again soon.
We like to make a couple little changes to our sandwiches, though. We throw an extra slice of cheese on the sandwich (Pepper Jack for him, Cheddar for me) and sliced dill pickles.
I’ve made lasagna the “old school” way a few times, but I’ve never tried making it in the slow cooker. It seems sooo much easier that I can guarantee you that I’m gonna try this recipe the next time we’re craving lasagna!
If this doesn’t scream “holiday season”, I don’t know what does! And it looks about 10 times easier to make than a traditional turkey and homemade cranberry sauce. Pair it with a side of stuffing or mashed potatoes and you have yourself a delicious, hearty winter meal.
I regularly make a Ritz chicken recipe that we love, but it involves the oven. Everything is better in the slow cooker & that’s why I’m excited to try this recipe!
I tried a similar recipe about a year ago, but I can’t find it anywhere now! The only difference between this recipe and the delicious one I lost seems to be the meat and the seasonings.
I can’t remember what seasonings were in the other recipe, but it wasn’t nearly as many as what this one calls for. And it called for chicken rather than steak.
I’ll take some yummy cow meat over chicken any day of the week! And the more spices the merrier! That’s why the next time I make steak fajitas, this is the recipe I’m going to try!
This is one I’m sorta scared of. I’ve tried teriyaki flavored foods that I’ve loved and I’ve had a lot of teriyaki dishes that I really didn’t enjoy at all. Hubby always loves anything teriyaki, though, so I figure this is a recipe I need to try!
I’ve made chili mac before. And when I’ve made it, it’s consisted of boxed mac ‘n cheese and a can of chili. Those two things mixed together made a sorta tolerable dish. I’m guessing that this slow cooker version (made entirely from scratch!) will blow my prior pathetic attempts at chili mac out of the water! Definitely excited to give this recipe a try.
I’m a HUGE broccoli cheddar soup fan! I’ve never made it before, though, so this is on my “to make” list this winter!
Not many foods are as comforting as meatloaf! Every time I eat it, I’m filled with memories of the meatloaf (and the day-after meatloaf sandwiches!) that Mom used to make. I love meatloaf, but I rarely make it. Why? I’m really not sure… but I know we are well overdue and I’m very much interested in making meatloaf in my slow cooker for the first time ever!
I’m pretty sure everyone I’ve ever met has liked pulled pork! I’ve never made pulled pork without BBQ sauce, so I’m really excited to try this recipe.
I always appreciate a simple pasta recipe, and Bee never complains, either. She loves pasta dinners because, well, she’s a year old and most kids love pasta.
I already know this recipe will be a hit in my house.
I’ve only made Shepherds Pie once. In my entire life. I used ground venison and the oven rather than the stew beef and slow cooker this recipe calls for. As a Shepherds Pie newbie, I’m looking forward to giving this recipe a whirl.
I’ve made Hawaiian themed meals before from recipes I’ve found online and not all of them have turned out well. This one definitely looks promising, though!
There are tons of slow cooker rib recipes floating around out there, so it was hard to choose just one to include. I chose this one because the instructions are easy… simply use a store bought rub & sauce of your choice! It might not sound as exciting as some of the other recipes I’ve seen, but as a SAHM, I take simplicity every chance I get!
I’ve seen a lot of chicken recipes that involved garlic and honey, but I’ve never tried them. To be honest, the idea has always scared me. I like honey. I like garlic. But the two of them together? That’s a crazy idea!
I think it’s time to step out of my comfort zone this winter and try this recipe!
I love a good taco soup, but I’ve never made one from scratch before. I’m really excited to try this recipe in the near future!
Another meal that reminds me of my childhood is ham & potato soup! I don’t know how many times my mom took leftovers from a ham roast and used it to make this delicious soup. It’s also yet another dinner I have never attempted to make, but I’ve really been craving it lately!
This is one that I’m kind of scared of. I’ve only had Greek food once in my life. And it was good! I’m not sure if it will turn out as well if I make it myself, but I figure it’s worth a shot!
I can’t help but think that winter would be incomplete without making chili at least once! And this recipe makes it sooo easy!
5 Slow Cooker Dessert Recipes!
I’ve never made a pecan pie, let alone one in a slow cooker! Love the idea, though!
I’ve made this recipe a few times already and it is amazing! Obviously I’ll be making it again this winter!
I’ve never seen anything like this made in the slow cooker!! I know it’ll be a hit, though, so I’m gonna give it a try!
Very similar to the apple cobbler recipe, except, ya know… it involves cherries! Super easy, super yummy.
This peanut butter cup covered cake looks absolutely amazing and I’m sure it’s delicious!
